Pigato is one of the most fascinating and mysterious vines of our land. It has uncertain origins
Many people claim that this wine derived from Malvasia Bianca, a species of vine common in many places that overlook Mediterranean sea, since time immemorial
Its name is given from the dialect "pigau" or "Pigou" which means “Piga”, the small stain rust color, that appears in the mature berries.
Normally Pigato is a wine that is consumed young and it’s served at 12/13 degrees centigrade.
This wine(Thanks to its tasty and dry flavor, typical aroma of Ligurian cuisine) is excellent with: pesto, Ligurian stuffed vegetables, steamed shrimp, seafood starter etc.
